Individuals need to sign on to federal lawsuit challenging S276 requiring posting of the names of all ADTC-releaseess

S276, signed into law on January 14, 2014, requires that the identities of all individuals with sex offense convictions who were found compulsive and repetitive be published on the State Sex Offender Internet Registry (Click here to see detailed description of the law).

A.R.I.S.E. is seeking individuals who would be affected by this law to join a class action lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the law under the Federal Constitution. The class action would be filed under seal to protect the identities of the plaintiffs. Ideal candidates would be individuals who were released from prison at least a decade or more ago, have never been found to violate Megan’s Law for failing to register, have no parole violations, and have successfully reintegrated back into the community.

Contact A.R.I.S.E. for more information if interested.

  1. Clay Evans says:

I’m an individual seeking assistance. I was convicted of an endangering the welfare of a child in 2002. It was a consensual sex situation where i was 19 turning 20 and the female was 15. I’m going through a lot of stress due to the fact parole have been giving me a hard time to live with my children. Due to this whole case i have began to drink and have been through counseling. Constantly I am aggravated due to the life I have to live due to this case. I am not at all a sexual predator only an individual who made a wrong decision due to ignorance. I would like assistance, daily I become more and more weary and feel more restricted and not knowing how to move on in life. Thank you for any kind of assistance.
